It is estimated that U.S. companies lose up to $33 billion annually due to family caregiving duties of their employees.
Our Corporate Education Program

Putting The Pieces Together

Nearly one-quarter of the adult population in the United States is providing care for older partners, family members or friends. The average family caregiver ranges in age between 35 and 64, works full-time, and spends 18 hours per week providing care. The population of working caregivers is growing rapidly, and the intense challenges they face will undeniably impact nearly every U.S. organization. It is estimated that U.S. corporations lose up to $33 billion annually due to family caregiving. The loss of revenue for corporations is directly linked to absenteeism, tardiness, leave of absences, reduced work hours, and increased stress levels of the caregiver.

Companies can increase their productivity by taking steps to ensure that employees have the opportunity to effectively manage both their work and personal responsibilities. VistaLynk Solutions offers a gerontologist designed program, Putting the Pieces Together, that focuses directly on the issues faced by family caregivers in the workforce. Our course contains practical applications designed to help individuals plan for the caregiver role before a crisis occurs, as well as provide assistance to those who are currently navigating this reality. Each workshop is one hour long and can be presented individually or in packages of up to five consecutive workshops. We tailor our services according to the schedule that best fits the specific needs of each company.

Our programs include:

  • The Ins and Outs of Long Term Care
  • The Financial and Legal Reality of Caregiving
  • The Working Caregiver's Reality - "Did I Sign Up for This?"
  • "What Choices Do I Have and How Do I Decide?"
  • Driving Decisions
  • Aging and Loss
  • Making Choices: Beyond Just Being a Caregiver
  • The Art of Assertiveness
  • End of Life Issues
  • Working with Working Caregivers
